The Grayling (Thymallus Thymallus) is a beautiful fish native to Central and Northern Europe, stretching from Wales to Italy. It is characterised by its vibrant back fin and lives in cold, oxygen-rich waters, typically found in rivers. It feeds on insects, invertebrates, and small fish. This species is a symbol of European fly fishing, however, it is very sensitive to climate and environmental changes, which has caused a decrease in their populations across the continent.
